The QSR marketing launch checklist.

For menu launches, seasonal campaigns and new locations. The job is not to make more restaurant content. It is to give people a clear reason to order and make sure every location can execute it.

1. Decide what the customer is actually being asked to do

  • Choose the hero item, offer or location story before making content.
  • Write the one sentence that gives someone a reason to order now.
  • Make price, availability and timing obvious where they matter.
  • Avoid launching five messages with equal priority.

2. Build the campaign around the ordering path

  • Social and paid creative should land somewhere useful.
  • App, web, menu board and in-store language should match the campaign.
  • Check that the promoted item is easy to find and order.
  • Remove friction before adding more media.

3. Plan one production day as a content system

  • Capture the hero food image first.
  • Shoot vertical video, detail, assembly and reaction moments while the set is live.
  • Create paid, organic, menu, web and franchise-use assets from the same visual idea.
  • Leave with enough variations to learn without lowering the craft.

4. Make the franchise toolkit usable

  • Give operators finished assets, not a design puzzle.
  • State what can and cannot be changed locally.
  • Include launch timing, captions, local formats and in-store requirements.
  • Make the master brand easier to follow than to improvise around.

5. Treat a new location like a market entry

  • Build a local reason to care beyond 'now open'.
  • Connect local social, paid, landing pages and opening-week material.
  • Make maps, hours and ordering links impossible to miss.
  • Capture opening content that can support the location after week one.

6. Review what created orders, not just attention

  • Separate engagement from actions that move people toward purchase.
  • Document which products and messages pulled strongest.
  • Fix location-level execution gaps quickly.
  • Turn the winning launch elements into the next repeatable playbook.

Before the next launch

If the campaign cannot survive every location, it is not a system yet.

Grid can connect the campaign idea, food production, digital assets and franchise rollout so the next launch arrives as one clear reason to order.
