Classmade

Own the
business.

A brand and commerce experience built around one useful shift: teachers should be able to turn what they already make into something they actually own.

Grid shaped the positioning, identity, marketing experience and product story around teacher ownership rather than another marketplace relationship.

Classmade teacher resource brand world

The assignment

Make selling feel like ownership, not another platform dependency.

The product had to make the teacher feel like the business owner from the first impression onward.

The strategic job was simple to say and harder to design: give teachers a place to publish the resources they already create, present them with confidence and build a customer relationship of their own.

That meant the brand, storefront and commerce experience could not behave like separate pieces. Every part had to reinforce the same idea of ownership.

The idea

The teacher is the brand.

Classmade gets out of the way enough for each teacher’s work to feel like their own world, while the system underneath stays clear and recognizable.
